Waco Area Company?

That's great! Had not found any leads at first. Does it show the unit designation or how many of them were in the 1st, 4th or 5th Texas of Hood/Robertson in the AOV? (Will have to see what counties the companies mustered in from.) That allows plenty of leads. A seperate index in book form showed only one CCW veteran by that name. It looked old and incomplete. It would be John L. if I remember correctly. I need to verify the Waco connection with a census precinct and names of sons and daughters. I have a picture (and lots of names) of his son, born 1851, standing in front of a house with a flat background that looks to be out west. I knew his son as a small child and know many brothers and sisters came to his funeral. I had a turn of the century picture of him and two sisters professionally restored for Christmas presents a few years ago. The guy who did it said he could tell a lot about them by the way they were dressed. (The old man was supposed to have had a lot of land out in Texas.) He worked for the railroad 35 years. Would like to nail him down in Hood's Texas Brigade eventually. The one I need is a ggggrandfather. Do you have any other info access on the Texas companies? Will check this site, also.
