My G-G-G-Grandfather James E. Edwards was in the 59th Alabama Infantry Company B and was born in Autauga County and killed May 16, 1864 Drewry's Bluff, Virginia. According to the book Yours Mine and Theirs by Ben Roberts he is buried at Providence Baptist Cemetery, Clanton Alabama, Chilton County. I have documentation from the Alabama Department of Archives and History, Service Record, Pension Applications. How can I confirm his burial at Providence Baptist Cemetery? Apparently, the church records were destroyed in a fire. I have checked with Ben Roberts and he is not sure where he rec'd the info from. I have identified Sarah Edwards grave at Providence(marker) is there anything I can possibly look for as a clue, their are 4 graves in a row from her unmarked? Thank you Steven sedwards5150@home.com
