Alan PittsMoor family of Cedar GroveTue Jan 9 09:28:41 2001 A number of years ago I came across a series of letters in the Georgia State Archives pertaining to the Moor family of Cedar Grove. The elder Moor was Hezekiah B. Moor who had six sons. Three were killed during the war: one at Ten Islands Ford on the Coosa River, one in the Carolinas during the final campaign in 1865, and another while home on leave by "outlyers". I published some of these in the "West Jefferson County Historical Society Journal" in its autumn 1980 issue.
