I saw your other post on the Garrett brothers and understand your question better now. The register is definitely the source you need for this and other purposes. It's probably not on the shelf in the Southern Department, but ask Yvonne and she'll pull it for you. By the way, Yvonne also has my folder with the Pickens County company list drawn up by Judge Z. L. Nabers.

The 62nd & 63rd Alabama are good places to look for these young men. Several University cadets served as company officers in these regiments. During most of their brief careers these units were known as the 1st & 2nd Junior Reserves.

If you happen to be interested in Livingston's command, I have some information that may be useful.
