According to the microfilm, Ken's response is correct. The only alternative I could find was Capt. James B. Dickey, whose company letter was "G" prior to the merger to form the regiment in early 1863. After that, however, his company was lettered "A". J. B. Davis from Co. "C" of Calhoun County is the likely candidate to associate with your wayward headstone.
