From what little I know of it, the 1st did
raid into the southern counties in 1864, but
did not act in consort with Ward until 1865;
during the 1864 time frame, Co F (Sanders) of
the 1st was busy in Santa Rosa and Holmes
counties in Fla and Coffee and Dale in Ala;
it is probable that some of the 1st were
mixed-in with Ward during 1864, but not to
any degree; I have the muster roll for the
1st if there are any you may be interested
in.
