Hindman's Divison Hospital was near the Chickamauga Creek, but more serious cases that could be moved would have been sent to Ringgold or further south to the Atlanta area. Sad thing to say is that he could be buried anywhere in North Georgia. Although the highest percentage of Chickamauga Dead are buried in the Marietta Confederate Cem. It would be worth checking their listing, which is incomplete, to see if he might be there.
