I have the Confederate pension papers issued by the State of Texas for my great-grandfather's service in Company C, 55th Alabama Infantry from Jan. 1, 1862 to May 20, 1865. He was from Talladega County, Alabama.

He told my father battle tales from Shilo and Lookout Mountain. I would appreciate any information on the 55th Alabama Infantry and the battles in which it was involved.
