:Lee, Please see the messages below on this subject. I spent a week in the area looking for graves, with not much luck. The sites are not mapped out so you are at the mercy of the local people. There are no CSA graves on the battlefield. Ron Skellie, a researcher for the 7th Miss. states the bodies were moved to Georgia. I really have no idea. As for as hospitals go, the nearest hospital I know of would be in downtown Chattanooga. There is also a fine CSA Cemetery there, that is under control of the DCV. Better make reservations before hand. It would be a good project for a SCV group(s)to map the garvesites.
