Gary TiptonAlabama citizens in Tennessee RegimentsWed Sep 13 17:42:08 2000 The Tennessee 34th Regiment had a Captian Henery D. Tipton that was from Alabama as well as a number of his troops. My great great Grandfather Samuel L. Tipton and his brother David Baker Tipton were in that Regiment. They were all related. Samuel was wounded in the battle of Chichamauga and taken to Rome Georgia where he died soon after. They were all from Jackson County Alabama.
