There is a Jim White shown in the (1st) Pickens Greys, A.V.C. This Jim White is actually this person:

41st Alabama Infantry, Co. C

WHITE, James Wiley “Jim” (Born on 10/17/1834 in Curshaw Dist., S.C. Enlisted 3/25/1862 at Carrollton. Captured 3/25/1865. Living at Ethelsville after the war. Died in Oct. 1922 in Springhill. Buried at the Lower Pickensville Cemetery.)

I didn't want you to come across this Jim White and waste any time on that red herring.
