Hi!
My name is Katie Bearman and I recently found out that the house of my ancestors who lived in Montgomery, Alabama during the Civil War was commandered by Confederate soldiers. When the soldiers left the house, they gave my ancestors a silver goblet in return for their cooperation. My ancestors' names were Amelia Selig Myer and Jacob Myer. This is all the information I am aware of and I was hoping that you would know of a way to help me find out more. It would even be helpful to me if you knew of any cases like that of my ancestors; the info doesn't necessarily need to be specifically about them. Thank you so much for your time.
