I forgot to mention that Pvt. R.B. Ledbetter was with the regiment until the final surrender of Gen. Jos.E.Johnston and after the consolidation on 09 April 1865 of the 40TH into the 19TH Alabama he officially became a member of Company H, 19TH Alabama Infantry Regt. of which he officially surrendered on 26 April 1865.
