Am researching the John and Delila Berry line. Delila's last name unknown but family legend has them married in Alabama. Their first son, another John Berry but called Jack, was born in Alabama 10 Feb., l821. John Berry, Sr., and wife Delilah, found on l830-l840-and l850 census in Marion Co., TN. Sometime around l853 John and Delila moved to Madison Co., MO. They had a total of 10 children. It is believed Delila was Cherokee. Did John Berry have Cherokee blood, too?? Any help appreciated.
