Hayes Lowe

Wed Nov 22 21:19:08 2000

You probably have all that I have, but here it is just in case you don't: he enlisted in Pickens Co., and was captured & paroled at Vicksburg. He was wounded at New Hope, Ga.

There were quite a few Jones in the same company of the 40th. I would assume that some, or all, were closely related to William H. Here are the other Jones that I have identified so far:

JONES, Abraham D. “Abram”

JONES, Alpheus A.

JONES, Henry W. M. (Loaned to Capt. Summerville, Co. G.)

JONES, Marcellus S.

JONES, Robert A.

JONES, Thomas Wilburn (Brother of JONES, William Jackson.)

JONES, William Hansel

JONES, William Jackson “Jack”

JONES, William G.
