This could well be your man, although you would need to check his records to double-check. Remember, "service records" of Confederate soldiers are actually transcriptions of bi-monthly rolls and other documents that mention a soldier's name. And, these "original" documents were created by men who weren't always careful with their handwritten scripts. It's not too much of a stretch to read CRONLEY for CROWLEY (or vice versa). You might also want to contact the AL Dept of Archives and History for any biographical information on Crowley/Cronley.You might post a query on the Mobile County Query Board about the burials.
