A map of the South AL area from the Atlas of the "Official Records of the War of Rebellion" shows a Fort Crawford located on the Florida - Alabama RR line down near the FL/AL stateline. Does anyone know just where this fort site is actually located - what modern town is it near? And, what kind of fort was it?
