My GGgrandfather was also at Camp Chase after being captured at Decatur, Al. He was sent to Camp Chase, Ohio prison camp. His pension record said being there made him crazy in the mind. Was there until the end of the war. He was in the 11th Alabama Calvary Co. B...I read a book at our local library about Camp Chase. Copied a few of the pages about the conditions at the prison. It talked about those that took the oath of allegance and some of them would spy on the other prisoners , they called them raserbacks... Wonder if there is a roster of all those that were prisoners there?
